I also had a couple pairs of cosplay glasses that gave me an idea! What if Harry was born in 1780 instead of 1980?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis altered painting is a little nod to that idea : I painting in Harry's iconic glasses, green eyes, and transformed the medallion into a pendant of the deathly hallows. But I kept his terrible wig, because that was the fashion at the time for young men (and women!)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI really enjoyed painting these glasses... did you know I worked as an optician while I went to college for art and design? I fitted, dispensed, made and repaired glasses... so I was very picky when it came to painting these distinct spectacles! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003eThe vintage print was collected locally in Brampton, Ontario. The frame is heavy and very old, closer to antique than vintage. I replaced the matte with a black one which really makes the artwork pop. So this old timey style painting felt like a nice opportunity to paint plums in instead of the flowers... including one very large one about to snap off and float away! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor fun I also created a little \"Keep Off The Dirigibles\" note, written in ink on vintage paper.
