I was so happy to bump into this very talented artist at FanExpo. I've seen her work on the internet and had no idea she was local to the GTA. Such amazing art! I bought a small treebeard.

While attending Fan Expo 2026 in Toronto, I came across The Upcycled Vintage Art booth and was stopped in my tracks. The art breathed life into fantasy works, bridging the gap between worlds. I purchased four Shire pieces on the first day. Each piece held space for the original artist while melding in my special interests. This collaborative style by artist Heather Castles felt authentically human.

When I arrived at the booth with my walker and service dog in tow, the Upcycled Team were kind, considerate, and accommodating. There was enough physical space in their booth for me to access their products (a difficult task during Fan Expo!) and anything I couldn't access was immediately accommodated by a team member.

I ended up returning the following day to purchase four other pieces, ensuring I got business cards as well. The post-card sizes make for excellent birthday/holiday gifts and I make sure whenever I am gifting them, to provide the business card/name.

The world needs more collaborative, restorative art and The Upcycled Vintage Art team are truly modeling what that commitment looks like.
