Pink Death Star Moon - PRINT in Vintage Frame, wood

“Pink Death Star Moon”

This painting had pink reflections on the water, and with nothing in the sky, obviously something was missing… a Pink Moon! The April full moon is known as the Pink Moon in North America, named after the wildflowers that grow this time of year. Here in Toronto, the moon happened to actually be pink on the evening of the Pink Moon. So it felt like the perfect choice to add in a Pink Moon… and with May the 4th around the corner, I painted it on the dark side of the moon!

This piece was found at a local thrift store. I spent some time restoring it by removing nicotine stains from the surface. The frame had a few chips which were also glued back and repaired.

Frame details : vintage wood frame in good condition, with distressed detailing that adds to the character of the piece. Wall display.
