Hi Julia, Thought I'd share some photos of the sketches and ideas for altering your vintage painting!
July 31 - So my sketches are always a little scribbly, just to get the ideas out there. I'll do some more detailed studies before painting. I'm loving the Ewoks hanging out by the tree stumps, one Ewok facing towards us having a snack (like in the movie.) I think it would add a lot to put the planet of Endor ghosted in the sky, as you see it in the film.
Would love to know what you think of the options (Feel free to reply using the chat bot below if it's easier than sending an email) :
Option 1 : The satellite dish subtle and small in the tree line, soft greys. No Millennium falcon.
Option 2 : Moving the dish over and making it more prominent. The Ewoks are curious, but haven't learned otherwise fear their visitors yet (pre- Return of the Jedi.) No Millennium falcon.
Option 3 : Shrinking the satellite dish to quite small and soft colours so it can be almost missed in the treelike, like it's a distance away. Introducing the Millennium falcon. I'm playing around with the sizes... absolutely will have the original circular dish on it, lol!
