This vintage painting on canvas felt like it captured perfectly the quiet town of Bree… I “lit candles” in the windows to give the feel that everyone was safe and cozy in their homes that evening. And if they were not in their homes, they were in the local pub enjoying a pint. (Yes, they come in pints!)

But the moment the ring slipped onto Frodo’s finger… the nine sinister Ringwraiths of Angmar were drawn to its call! Thank goodness the hobbits had Strider looking out for them, or their quest may have been literally cut short. 

(I think this might very well be the smallest painting of the Prancing Pony sign in the world, lol! Just a few loose tiny brushstrokes to give the feel of it.)
