We live in the suburbs, and often like to go for a country drive... particularly in winter when the farm fields are all covered with snow. I love the idea that on planet Naboo, the fighters take their ships up north for a pleasant fly through the countryside. 

I like to add subtle little additions to old paintings like this, so that at first glance it just looks like another of grandma's paintings... but on closer inspection, there's a little unexpected surprise! 

The original vintage painting was by Orvokki Jalava c1950. The Jalava family immigrated to Canada in the 1950’s from Finland, and they all were skilled painters. I’ve ended up collecting a few of their pieces, and it’s fun seeing the same composition painted in each of their styles… they must have enjoyed painting altogether! The vintage frame is in very good condition, sturdy and ready to hang..
