This mountain-scape was really gloomy and moody and reminded me of a safe place where a group of friends on a quest would setup camp for the night. I painted this with the idea that the hero was meditating, possibly prepping himself before going into the spirit world. His besties are looking over him so that he can focus on his duties in the spirit realm.
This is my second altered painting and is a lot larger than my last project. The painting was a bit damaged and needed some patching up. There were a lot of sections with holes where the paint and chipped off or the canvas underneath had been damaged. It was very satisfying painting over those and blending it with the rest of the background. Good as new!
