“Humans Don’t See Nothin’”
I loved the idea of the Knight Bus speeding along the streets of London without a single person noticing… magic is a wonderful thing! Even though this painting is of Paris, I thought it would be fun to paint in the iconic magical bus in place of one of the old-timey trams. I don’t think anyone noticed.
“Muggles? They don’t see nothing, do they?” —Stan Shunpike
I found this little painting without its frame… and then found a nice vintage frame that it fit perfectly! This original painting was a study of the painting “Paris in the rain, evening” by master René Rambert (1901-1911.) It’s very common for artists to study each other’s work as a way of learning new technique and styles.
