This little vintage print of a watercolour just was begging to have a knight protecting the bridge! So I "painted out" the horsemen and dogs coming along the path, and added a brave knight is alone to faithfully guard his bridge. None shall pass.
Honestly, "Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail" has some of the most fantastic and recognizable dialogs of all time. I was playing the scene between Arthur and the Black Knight on Youtube, and no joke within 20 seconds of it playing my son (who has never seen the movie) came running around the corner saying "Is that the Black Knight?!" I can't wait to revisit painting more art inspired by the brave, brave knights in this film. The world needs more Monty Python inspired art.
The original vintage print c1950 was collected locally in Ontario. I've replaced the glass with non-glare, and it has a new fresh white matte to help the image pop, and protect the art from the glass.
