Abstract No.1 - cast-off paint canvas from Altered Muggle Art Collection

When I paint, I keep little canvases next to me so that I can brush off excess paint. As time goes by, the colours and textures build up in a pleasing way, till I like it enough to frame it and hang alongside the original art or prints! 

This is the little abstract came into being as I painted several fantasy artworks, including my 2024 Altered Muggle Art collection, Scabbers, Nessie, Dragons, Eye See You, The Magnificent, Aragog and Nazgul! So it has little bits of each of these artworks in it. I make notes on the back of the canvas of which paintings I was working on at the time. (I've left in the photos of this canvas from six months ago, the bluer shade has been slowly painted over... and as I'm working it may continue to be used for cast off paint!) 

 I like to mix abstracts like this up in with the art on the wall for a pop of colour and interest. It's also cute layered on a shelf with models in front of it.
