I can't look at an acorn without remembering what a treasure it was to Bilbo. I enjoyed creating a few studies from a branch that fell near me, and painted the stages of the green leaves turning brown. This particular study is in my own collection, I loved the shapes of the leaves the best... and on special request it's now available as a printable download.
