Teddy Bear Portrait No.3 : acrylic paint on vintage paper

This is a proper "straight from the artist's desk" art drop! I was feeling very inspired these last weeks and decided that instead of doing a fancy, polished art drop, I would just paint, paint, paint more art for May the 4th! I am now putting them all into their vintage frames... that means repairing the old frames, cleaning the glass, then photographing each one. I still wanted to give you early access to my new art before my art drop on May the 4th, so I've taken some quick photos of the unframed artwork for you.

This is one of the studies I painted to prepare for my recent painting, "Yub Nub." I used vintage paper from a retro scrapbook, which I love because it is very heavy and a bit rustic, which felt a good fit for portraits of the locals living on a backwater moon from the far reaches of the galaxy.
