I thought it was sweet how IG-11 was made into a statue in the Mandalorian after he sacrificed himself for Grogu. I liked the idea of him being still there and revered as a guardian, with Nevarro city being built up around him but him always being there. You may have noticed that there is a church in the background! I'm Christian myself and don't mean any ofense by this... I just think his character has nice parallels to real life martyrs, who gave their lives for others and what they believe in. So that was the idea behind it, IG-11 still standing proudly, honoured as the Guardian of Nevarro city!
The original vintage watercolour painting was collected locally in Ontario. I don't usually paint on watercolours (because acrylic on top would be permanent) but because it was aged and faded a bit, I decided to go for it.)
