This alteration was a special request for mooncalves, the gentle magical creatures introduced to us in the Fantastic Beasts films. I enjoyed rewatching the scenes, and researching these little guys to capture their reclusive nature. I embraced the description Newt Scamander gave of them, as having smooth greyish skin, large flat feet… and very shy dispositions.

The original was a print on paper of wolves, and it was fun transforming them into gentle mooncalves. (A bit of a nod to a wolf in sheep’s clothing!)
