“Thousands of Probe Droids Searching the Galaxy”

The thought of thousands of probe droids searching the galaxy in search of rebel scum has always intrigued me…  imagine thousands of them! Perhaps some of those droids ended up in our small pocket of the galaxy, even exploring our own planet, their presence captured by artists throughout our history. 

The original vintage art I chose to alter is titled “October Stream” and was painted by Canadian artist Kitty Tomlinson, Sep 1998. I really liked how the artist had looked at the landscape and was true to what she saw. The branches on the trees aren’t uniform, you can tell she was wanting to capture that particular view in that moment. It was a pleasure to work with Kitty’s piece, and add an element of fun to bridge the gap between the older style of artwork and modern pop culture.

Frame details :  The original frame is in very good condition. The matt looks like it has been touched up, but looks good. Updating to a more modern style, perhaps black, would help the art pop a bit and bring it out of that more dated nineties frame look.
