“Octopus Vs Ship : Thaumoctopus Mimicus” (Mimic Octopus)
The original was rescued from hundreds of rolled up paintings in storage… the artists creating these created dozens of these paintings in the same style in slightly different colours. They were made to replicate the old European masters. I stretched this one on a new frame and added a bit of fun by adding in a mimic octopus. I think they are brilliant in how they use trickery and camouflage to evade predators… or to sneak up on prey! (Don’t worry, this one is just playing with the passing ship!
