About the Artist

Hi, I'm Heather!

I'm a full-time mum-of-three kids, and while they're at school I paint nerdy stuff into upcycling vintage art.

In the 1900s I studied art at the Alberta College of Art and Design and Capilano University. I am an old school artist and like to use traditional materials like paint and charcoal.

None of my work is created using photoshop, so when you see me painting on an old canvas, it’s the equivalent of fine-art graffiti!

Because I am a geek... and a nerd... and a dork... I particularly love to paint elements of pop culture into these old paintings and prints!  My subtle-nerd-art is for those of us who love our pop culture, but want to display our fandom in a more quiet way!

Because I love nature… I take a thoughtful approach to the impact of my work on the environment. My rule of thumb is for each step along the way, (from sourcing materials to the creative process to shipping the final art,) I use materials that are either vintage, repurposed, reused, recycled, recyclable or compostable.

I often share my work in progress in Stories on Instagram & TikTok ...follow me to geek out with me and see what's on my desk!

Thank you for taking an interest in my work and what I do! Enjoy browsing through my website... I am pleased to offer you my artwork as original works, print-on-demand reproductions, digital downloads, and custom framed prints.

Please drop me a note if you have any questions!

This is the way,
So Say We All,
Make It So,
Always,

Heather

P.S. If you are also from the 1900s, drop me a note and I'll send you a free digital download to celebrate our vintage together :)
