USA Tariffs

To my customers in the USA...

The de minimus exemption from tariffs that used to apply to items under $800 is ending on 29th August!

What we know about the tariffs :

As I understand it, after Aug 29th, all orders to the USA will be charged 35% tariff by the carrier for art shipped from my studio here in Canada. You must pay the fee before it can cross the border into the USA.

Items NOT affected by the tariff :

Good news! My prints for USA collectors are printed IN THE USA, so there are no extra tariffs.

Digitals do not require shipping, so are also tariff free.

Items affected by the tariff :

Items shipped from my home studio in Toronto will be affected by the tariff as of August 29th. That includes original art, studies, postcards & vintage-framed-prints.

How this will impact Upcycled Vintage Art :

Much of my art is collected by lovely folk in the US. With the de minimus ending, I am aware this makes it very expensive to ship items to the US.

I also cannot afford to pay shipping for returned product if the tariff is unexpectedly too high.

The tariff has forced me to rethink my shipping practices and come up with a solution that allows you to collect my art and not frustrate you with surprise fees.

*My prints & digitals have NO TARIFF  and will continue to be available to the USA.*

*After August 29th, my originals, sketches, postcards & framed prints will require an additional payment of the tariff fee before I will ship them to the USA. I will not pay the tariff fee.*

If you wish to collect items that ship from my home studio and you are happy to pay for the tariffs, please contact me directly and we can chat about shipping options.

A special note to USA collectors :

Thank you… for your warm welcome for my art into your homes. I love sharing my nerdy art with you, and hope to keep doing so even with this hurdle of the tariff.

I’m going to keep painting, and keep sharing my art :)

Please sign up for my newsletter (scroll down to the subscription below!), both to keep in touch and to collect free arty gifts along the way!
