“Autumn Walker”

Autumn is the perfect time to go for a drive through the country to see the changing colours of the leaves. I loved imagining that on their days off, Storm Troopers would take their AT-AT Walkers for leisurely stroll down the river to enjoy the foliage.

This vintage style painting is one of many mass produced original paintings to replicate the style of 70’s painting masters like Bob Ross. This compositional formula of "textured mountain + river + trees" has been done so often, you may have even seen a painting almost exactly like this one before.

I like adding in contrasting elements like these walkers into old paintings, and playing around with the idea that these imagined events really did happen a long time ago and in our little corner of the galaxy.
