Tiny Troopers - acrylic study no.2

Out for patrol, these tiny troopers are so small they are the size of my thumbprint!  

This is one of four wee studies I painted to prepare for a very small upcycle. The original was in a rough style, on paper and very little, which is a recipe for an unforgiving process. So I needed to practice painting the troopers to capture that look. 

Painted in acrylic on vintage paper from a 60’s photo album. I had a couple tiny silver frames which had tarnished, perfect for a battered look for these tiny paintings.
